Microdermabraision

Microdermabrasion treatments utilize a diamond hand-held wand to gently exfoliate the outer layer of dead skin, thus leaving your skin with a visibly softer, smoother appearance. It also allows skin care products to penetrate to deeper layers, restoring luminosity for healthier, younger looking skin.
At Face Cosmedics Medical Spa treatments can be done on all skin types with no down time. You can literally go back to your daily activities looking refreshed and feeling great about your glowing skin. This treatment can also be used in conjunction with other medical spa treatments, or as a standalone treatment, based on your individual needs. For the best results your medical aesthetician may recommend a series of treatments.

Preparation

To decrease the chance of bruising at the injection site, please avoid all NON-PRESCRIPTION blood thinning medications and supplements for 1 week prior to your appointment. Avoid taking Aspirin and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDS) such as such as Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil and Aleve. In addition, very high doses of some Vitamins (Garlic, Ginko, Vitamin E and others) and supplements can thin your blood and increase the chance of bruising. Please notify your practitioner if you are taking Warfarin, Coumadin, Plavix, or any other blood thinners for a medical condition.

Post Care

• Try to exercise your treated muscles for 1 hours following treatment (ex. Practice frowning, raising your eyebrows or squinting). This helps to work BOTOX/DYSPORT into your muscles. Although this is thought to help, it will not impact your treatment negatively if you forget to do this.
• NO rubbing, touching, lying flat, no downward dog, cart wheels, or the horizontal mambo for approx. 3 hours after treatment. This is to avoid the risk of pressure on the treated areas (from your pillow) and to avoid the risk of having the area rubbed accidentally.
• Be assured that any tiny bumps or marks will go away within a few hours. If you need to apply make-up within 4 hours after your treatment, only use a gentle touch to avoid rubbing the treated area.
• Results of your treatment may take 14 days to take full effect. Please wait until the 14 days has passed to assess if you are pleased with your result. At this time, we ask that you return for a follow up appointment.
• BOTOX & DYSOPORT are temporary procedures, results will last approximately 3-4 months.
• Our clinic will see you in 2 weeks for a follow up. Please ensure you book this appointment if this is your first treatment for the particular area or if you have any concerns.
• If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to CALL 780-750-0852 or TEXT 587-844-2233

When will I see results and how long will they last?

  • You’ll begin to see results as soon as 24 hours after your treatment, and the lines may continue to fade for up to one week afterwards. Effects generally last 3-4 months
